Nursing Week Celebration 2026
The Black Nurses Association of Nunavut (BNAN) is hosting the Nursing Week Celebration 2026, an event dedicated to recognizing the strength, compassion, and leadership of nurses within the community. Taking place on May 16, 2025, at the Franco Centre from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, the celebration brings together healthcare professionals, community members, and leaders for an evening focused on empowerment and connection. With the theme “Empowered Nurses Save Lives,” the event highlights the critical role nurses play in improving healthcare outcomes and supporting communities across Nunavut and beyond.
The event will feature an engaging panel discussion, artistic performances, networking opportunities, and a photo session, creating a space for both professional dialogue and cultural celebration. A diverse lineup of panelists, including healthcare leaders and advocates, will share insights on mental health, patient care, labour relations, and community leadership. The gathering aims to inspire collaboration, celebrate resilience, and honor the dedication of nurses while strengthening relationships within the healthcare community.
